Neferpitou isn't actually confirmed as a boy or a girl in the anime, so the "boy" and "trap" tags were a bit inaccurate. Sorry if I'm overstepping my boundaries, I'm just really passionate about Hunter X Hunter ^.^

He´s actually a boy in the manga, but in the anime they leave it unconfirmed and up to the viewer
but yeah, that "ambiguous gender" is fitting too if we take into account his anime version (the "trap" tag should stay though, one of the character most distintive traits is being considered one of them ,and besides , he´s really popular among trap fans )

Also, in the "Hunter x Hunter Character and World Data Book" the mangaka himself (Togashi) confirmed Pitou to me male (he was refering to him as "he" basically)

That's fair enough, I guess I just prefer the anime's take on them. Don't get me wrong, I don't care if Neferpitou is interpreted as boy, girl, both, or neither, I love them regardless! Plus, if the rest of HxH is anything to go by, Togashi's really, really, REALLY weird about gender. Even putting aside Alluka, I was convinced Kurapika was a girl for quite a few episodes XD
